Please note: the march begins at Dam Square in the city centre.
Ready to hit the road for women’s rights? Spend a slice of your afternoon this International Women’s Day at the Feminist March, a gender-inclusive peaceful protest where we stand in solidarity for a Feminist Future. A collective effort of various feminist organisations and activists, the march intends to be a space where the Netherlands’ feminist community can come together, take action and make themselves be heard.
After gathering at Dam Square, the march will start moving around 13:50 towards Museum Square. It is expected to take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. The march has also been registered with the municipality to ensure the demonstration runs smoothly and safely.
From the organisers:
The world needs feminist leadership now more than ever. In the face of growing inequality, social injustice, and global challenges, the time for action is now. The Feminist March honors the strength, courage, and resilience of those who came before us, celebrates our victories, and inspires us to be the feminists our future demands.
This march is a collective commitment to break down barriers. Together we shape a feminist future based on solidarity and empowerment. We stand in solidarity with all those who experience oppression.
The future is feminist through our voices, our actions, and our unwavering commitment. Let us march not only for those who came before us, but for the generations yet to come. Together, we are the future, and the time to act is now.
