Ready to confront your connection to the digital world? Pop by to take a look at Blue Hour by Sasja Bork.

Sasja Bork (1971) was trained at the Minerva Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen. Her painting style is related to Northern Realism: form follows content, observation is the point of departure. When a theme captures her interest, she creates a series of paintings. She aims to keep challenging herself, which is why each series differs from the previous one in subject matter, format and technique.

In part due to her background as a communication trainer, Bork has been fascinated by the mobile phone’s impact on social life since it hit the scene. In Blue Hour, she captures the digital bubble in oil paint.

Bork’s studio is located in the Havenloods in Utrecht. She also runs a painting school in Nieuwegein and an online course platform.
