Duo Maré consists of Erik van Munster (chromatic harmonica/guitar) and Alejandro Matamala (guitar). Both are experienced jazz musicians who met through the Amsterdam session circuit and eventually decided to join forces. As a duo, they play melodic jazz standards, occasionally branching out into Brazilian bossa nova classics. Their style is understated, calm, and laid-back, yet always rich in musicality and, above all, joy of playing. With just harmonica and guitar, their sound creates subtle, easy-listening music that works perfectly as an atmospheric backdrop.
