Bunk Utrecht Fact Sheet 19 Giugno 2020

In the design to convert the church Bunk has tried to reuse old church materials as much as possible. For instance, in the middle of the church a large block has been created in the which bar, kitchen and rooms have been built. The paneling on this block is made out of the original church benches. Other characteristic elements like the gallery, church windows and the Quellhorst organ (built in 1813) have been incorporated into the design. The organ is a true piece of art and is still fully functional: organ concerts are organised each month in the hotel premises for guests and local residents.

Bunk Utrecht won the prestigious Hoscar by Hostelworld for Extraordinary Innovation in 2021.
