Special for Open Monument Day, mezzo-soprano Anna ter Schegget and pianist Elizaveta (Liza) Bochkareva present an atmospheric recital of Romantic songs, featuring works by, among others, Brahms, Schubert and Alma Mahler.
Anna grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She studied classical voice at the Utrecht Conservatory, graduating in 2017. She took lessons with, among others, Karin van der Poel, Selma Harkink and Ira Siff, and continued to develop through international masterclasses.
Liza, born in Russia and raised in Montenegro, studied at the Conservatory of Montenegro. She completed her master’s degree with distinction at the Utrecht Conservatory under Martyn van den Hoek. She is a prizewinner of several (inter)national competitions and has performed in venues including the Kleine Zaal of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
