Bernardien Sternheim (b. 1948) is a Dutch realist painter based in Amsterdam. Sternheim studied sculpture at the Academie voor Kunst en Industrie in Enschede before largely teaching herself to paint figuratively. A prolific painter in oil, watercolour and occasionally tempera, Sternheim has produced a large oeuvre with works housed in important private and public collections both in the Netherlands and abroad, including Museum Catharijneconvent, Drents Museum, Museum Møhlmann and ING Art Collection. Sternheim is represented by Galerie Mokum (Amsterdam).
